Josh Crockett earned a BA in rhetoric and public address (2001), a master’s degree in counseling, and a MDiv from Bob Jones University. In 2020, he earned a DMin from Liberty University. In 2004, Crockett began ministering at his home church, Grace Baptist Church, Anderson, Indiana; and in 2015, he became the senior pastor of Morningside Baptist Church, Greenville, South Carolina. The BJU Board of Trustees named him president in May 2024. In May 2025, Crockett returned to Morningside Baptist Church as senior pastor but remained on staff at BJU to assist President Bruce McAllister.
